KHS Eco Friendly, a non-profit company started/owned/and operated by Kelly High School students, competed in a nationwide business competition in Buffalo New York this past weekend. KHS came in 5th place out of all the high schools in the United States! KHS Eco Friendly sells reusable plastic bags and carbon credits to fortune 500 companies, law firms, and via Facebook.
KHS Eco Friendly has planted a dozen apple trees and will plant 50 – 100 more apple trees by the end of this month. Planting apple trees assists with abating food deserts, within Chicago, as well as absorbing carbon and rain water in an attempt to minimize global climate disruption. KHS Eco Friendly’s focus was reducing waste in all forms – so think before you purchase something and eat healthy.
KHS Eco Friendly is comprised of Crystal Godinez (President of Sales & Marketing), Sonia Nambo (Chief Financial Officer), Jaime Morales (Chief Executive Officer), and Giovanni Mendez (Chief Technical Officer). Congratulations to KHS Eco Friendly for their accomplishments.
