Key Club is planning to do three projects:
(1) Teens & Dating Violence-creating and displaying posters as well as creating and asking people to take a survey on teen dating violence during their lunch periods.
(2) Hope to collect new, clean stuffed animals for the Chicago Police Department to use when they have to deal with a young child. When a child loses a house due to fire or family problems, it would be great if a police officer could give them something to cuddle with and make the scary feelings a little less scary.
(3) Trick-or-Treat for Unicef collection but haven't worked out the details yet.
November
The focus will be on Poverty. Thanksgiving Food Drive to help needy families in our community as always.
During the winter
Raise money for Spastic Paralysis. Spastic Paralysis is an ongoing condition in which the muscles are affected by ongoing spasms and exaggerated tendon reflexes because of damage to motor nerves of the central nervous system.
Spring
March-Of-Dimes Walk-A-Thon to help pay for research for birth defects. Students who do participate will get to take a fun walk along the lakefront.
